Wigs and robes donation for Vanuatu

15/08/2022

Philanthropy

The Pacific Legal Network (PLN) provides both legal and advisory support to the Pacific, including pro bono work and donating tangible items like court attire for public practitioners in Vanuatu.

PLN is seeking the support of our members to donate any wigs or robes for public practitioners in Vanuatu. For the next two weeks, the NSWBA will be accepting any robes or wigs that members would like to donate. This is for an important cause, and we urge all too donate.

The NSWBA has been overwhelmed by the generosity of the Bar. All the attire we have received will be packed and collected on Wednesday, 17 August 2022, therefore we will not be in a position to accept any more donations after close of business tomorrow.

Philanthropy is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing, an evidence-based approach to feeling good and functioning well. They are simple, everyday actions to contribute to a positive experience of life. The Bar Council's Wellbeing Committee organises, facilitates and promotes a variety of activities and events to support the Five Ways.
