Increase in Filing and Other Fees in the Federal Court

The Federal Court has advised that the Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations has increased the fee payable under sub-sections 644(2) and (3) of the Workplace Relations Act 1996 to $55.70. Sub-sections 644 (2) and (3) concern applications to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission for relief for termination of employment under section 643 of the Workplace Relations Act.

This fee is also the prescribed fee for Schedule 1(3) to the Federal Court of Australia Regulations 2004 and for Schedule 1(12) to the Federal Magistrates Regulations 2000.
