New Guidelines for the Assessment of the Degree of Permanent Impairment to commence on 1 October 2007

The Motor Accidents Authority of NSW has gazetted the new Guidelines for the Assessment of the Degree of Permanent Impairment, which will commence on 1 October 2007. The MAA Guidelines have been developed for the purpose of assessing the degree of permanent impairment arising from an injury caused by a motor accident.

These latest guidelines are based on the American Medical Association's Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 4th ed, 3rd printing (1995).
