Law Society launches new guide: Working with Barristers (2nd Edition)

The Law Society of New South Wales has launched a new edition of _Working With Barristers: A Solicitor's Guide to Relations With the Bar. _The book, by Dr Tom Altobelli (now a federal magistrate), looks in detail at finding and selecting a barrister, acceptance and return of briefs, fees and complaints procedures. It also contains nine appendices, including a sample of a brief to counsel to appear and an example of a brief to counsel to advise on evidence.

A copy of Working With Barristers is held in the Bar Library.
