In the United States, âMeganâs Lawsâ have established online registries to provide the criminal history, current photograph, current address, and place of employment of those convicted of sexual offences, especially those committed�against children.
No Easy Answers: Sex Offender Laws in the US, by Human Rights Watch,�argues�that these laws are ill-considered, poorly crafted and often cause more harm than good.
