Shadow AG criticises poor rehabilitation rates in NSW prison system

Greg Smith MP, shadow attorney general, has criticised the low rate of rehabilitation in the NSW prison system. Mr Smith says statistics contained in the recent Productivity Commission Report on Government Services 2008 show that�the rate of prisoners released who returned to prison under sentence within two years is still the highest of any state in the country at 43.8 per cent.
