Legislation to note: Criminal Case Conferencing Trial Bill 2008

The Criminal Case Conferencing Trial Bill 2008 has passed both Houses of New South Wales parliament. The object of the Bill, as provided in the explanatory notes is to provide for a trial scheme of compulsory pre-committal conferences and codification of sentence discounts for guilty pleas.
