Commencement of the Criminal Case Processing Trial Bill 2008

The NSW Attorney General's Department has provided details of the commencement of the Criminal Case Conferencing Trial Bill 2008. The Bill was passed by parliament on 9 April 2008 and is expected to be assented to in the near future.

The Act introduces a 12 month trial scheme of case conferencing for indictable offences at certain courts for which a court attendance notice was filed on or after 1 May 2008 but before 1 May 2009. More information
