Convicted sex offenders to be barred from changing their names

Attorney General John Hatzistergos has announced that convicted sex offenders will not be allowed to change their names under a proposal agreed to by the Corrective Services Ministers Conference last week. Mr Hatzistergos said the proposal will target sex offenders who try to�"slip quietly back into the community". Read the attorney's media release>
