Cocktail party to support Afghani women lawyers

Members are encouraged to support the work that the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) is doing�to assist Afghani women lawyers. UNIFEM Australia will bring three more outstanding young women this year, one of whom has English of sufficient level to be enrolled directly in a masters degree course at UTS, whilst the other two will first do a semester of English before their enrollment in the masters at Macquarie University.
To support the work of UNIFEM Australia, a cocktail event will be held on Wednesday, 25 June at 6.30pm in the Sky Room at the Blacket Hotel on King Street,�Sydney.�Come and�hear the stories of�two outstanding young women whom UNIFEM is supporting whilst they study in Australia.

UNIFEM Australia works with the IDP Peace Scholarship Trust of IDP Education to provide opportunities for young women to study at Australian Universities who have already contributed to peace and gender equality in their own country, and who have pledged to continue that commitment on their return.
