International practice to feature at the NZ Bar Association

Local barristers are fortunate to have the 2008 New Zealand Bar Association Annual Conference taking place in Sydneyï¿½on **Friday, 15 and Saturday, 16 August 2008. **The Kiwis have devised an interesting and rewarding programme, with just a littleï¿½input from the New South Wales Bar Association. The theme of the conference is "A Global Approach to Law â Life as a Barrister in the 21st century".

Topics will include the changing face of a barristers practice, issues facing the Bar, the internationalisation of litigation, trans-Tasman and other aspects,ï¿½the international dimensions of legalï¿½practice.

Great social events are planned including an informal drinks and canapï¿½ session on the Friday night with the New South Wales Bar and a fabulous formal dinner which is currently planned to be at the Museum of Contemporary Art on the Saturday night.
