World Youth Day regulations undermine our basic rights

In a media release issued this morning, the president of the New South Wales Bar Association, Anna Katzmann SC, has condemned the Iemma governmentâs World Youth Day regulation as a direct affront to freedom of speech and assembly. The president was interviewed by a number of radio and TV stations, including 2UE's Steve Price and Tim Webster, ABC 666 Canberra, SBS TV and ABC TV news. Transcripts of those interviews will be available in the Bar Library.
