Proposed amendments to the Bankruptcy Rules: call for comments

At a meeting of the Federal Court's Harmonised Bankruptcy Rules Monitoring Committee on 30 April, it was agreed that the Bankruptcy Rules be amended to remove the requirement to name a specific officer in:

• arrest warrant (form 16 in Schedule 1)
• apprehension warrant (form 17 in Schedule 1)
• search warrant (Schedule 3)

Before referring its recommendations to the Rules Committee of each court, the committee is seeking comments from the Bar in respect of the above.
