Victorian Bar voices concerns about legal aid funding

Chairman of the Victorian Bar Council, John Digby QC, has warned that the pool of specialist criminal barristers doing legal aid cases in Victoria has dropped dramatically over the last three years. Speaking at the Law Council of Australia's National Access to Justice and Pro Bono Conference in Sydney, Mr Digby QC released details of a PriceWaterhouseCoopers Report for the Victorian Bar, which raises "very serious concerns for the future of the criminal justice system".
