Anniversary of the Lindt Café siege

Today marks the eleventh anniversary of the Lindt Café siege.

On this occasion, we remember a much-loved and respected member of the NSW Bar – Katrina Dawson – who was tragically killed in the siege.

We know that members of our community continue to bear the weight of this tragedy. It is a particularly difficult time as we confront the aftermath of the senseless attack in Bondi yesterday. We continue to honour Katrina’s legacy through the annual Katrina Dawson Award, which seeks to encourage women coming to the Bar.
