World's Greatest Shave
08/03/2024

The World’s Greatest Shave, organised by the Leukemia Foundation, involves participants shaving or cutting their hair to raise funds for blood cancer. Each year, numerous Australians participate by either shaving or contributing donations to assist those battling cancer.
For those interested, please consider making a donation to support this cause. Members of the Bar are currently undergoing cancer treatments, and their friends, family, and associates are participating by shaving or cutting their hair in solidarity. Every dollar makes a difference.
In particular, we have a barrister who is supporting a member of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital haem team who assisted them greatly when they were receiving treatment for leukemia. We encourage members to donate to George Bush here.
Philanthropy is one of the Five Ways to Wellbeing, an evidence-based approach to feeling good and functioning well. They are simple, everyday actions to contribute to a positive experience of life. The Bar Council's Wellbeing Committee organises, facilitates and promotes a variety of activities and events to support the Five Ways. To find out more, visit the wellbeing pages on the Bar Association's website or email the committee via wellbeing@nswbar.asn.au
